  • The Spark Mill 2219 West Main Street Richmond, VA, 23220 (map)

Hosted by the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond and Facilitated by TSM’s Senior Consultant, Chris Bennett

This class is intended for organizational and team leaders of any size organization, this full-day course will teach participants how to use the principles of Human-Centered Design (aka Design Thinking) to address organizational, program, and/or service design challenges.

We will begin the day with a gamified version of this process to experience the principles and see them at work. Then we will walk through the principles of problem clarity, empathy, ideation, minimum viable product, and testing.

Participants will leave the course with a deeper understanding of designing organizational and program solutions around the human experience and that involves the end-user in the process for greater impact and efficacy. Participants will also get the opportunity to practice tools and ideas in the class and will leave the class with the next steps for embedding some of these tools and principles in their day-to-day work.
