"The all-virtual Virginia Volunteerism Summit is the Commonwealth’s leading event for organizations and individuals making a difference in their communities. Presented by Serve Virginia, the Virginia Service Foundation and the Virginia Department of Social Services, the event features more than twenty workshops, networking opportunities, and keynotes to promote innovation across the sector.

Taking place May 15-16, the 2024 Virginia Volunteerism Summit will empower stakeholders through engaging in powerful conversations and workshops to re-energize our shared passions for service. The 2024 theme is “Mapping the Future of Civic & Community Engagement.”

Our 2024 keynote speakers are Sue Carter Kahl, a nationally-recognized expert on volunteer engagement, who will give the opening keynote, titled, “Volunteer Data: From Compliance to Curiosity!,” and Breauna Dorelus, AmeriCorps alum and founder of Connecting the Cause, who will give a keynote titled, “From Charity to Co-Dreaming: a Truth-Telling Conversation on Reclaiming Volunteerism.”
