THRIVE: Acceleration for Social Good is a nonprofit acceleration experience hosted by The Collaboratory of Virginia as part of their nonprofit ecosystem building work, and developed and facilitated by The Spark Mill.
WHAT IS NONPROFIT ACCELERATION?
Nonprofit acceleration is a practical and intentional process that strengthens an organization’s ability to make an impact. We create time and space for teams of board and staff to come together in a cohort model to address an organizational challenge by working through the core mission and model of their work. They then use this work to drive action-planning and decision-making.
THRIVE: Acceleration for Social Good, is a part of The Spark Mill’s Mission Forward nonprofit acceleration suite. Acceleration operates on four guiding principles:
· Mission-focused – the work is rooted in an organization’s mission.
· Team-driven – the team of staff and board are the key to engaging the work.
· Challenge-specific – teams choose the challenge they wish address through acceleration.
· Mentor-guided – a mentor participates with teams as coach and cheerleader
