A New Face Around the Office: Introducing Rachael Randall

Hello, My name is Rachael; you can also call me Rae (but not Rach).

I’m a social worker who has been working in mental health for the last eight years. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to switch to consulting with The Spark Mill as the newest member of the full-time team.

 

1.     I was born in Ohio, grew up in Nebraska, and have been living in Richmond since 2014

2.     My favorite book is The Alchemist

3.     I hope to build a few homes to include a tiny house + a “full-sized” home

4.     If I could start my career over, I would be a carpenter making furniture or staircases

5.     I love to do puzzles (1000+ pieces) and hang them up in my home

6.     I love gold jewelry; if I’m not wearing gold hoops, you probably caught me on an off day

7.     I’ve grown to really love fitness. I like weight lifting and HIIT. I’d love to try CrossFit and Jujitsu

8.     I am actively working to be fully plant-based but I’ll never stop eating bacon 

9.     I eat all sweets

10.  The octopus is one of my favorite animals

11.  My fashion/style is inspired by The Spice Girls. I specifically aim to be a mixture of Scary and Posh Spice

12.  My favorite TV Show is Modern Family 

13.  I went to VCU for my Master’s in Social Work

14.  My favorite age group is 5- and 6-year-old children; they have the best jokes

15.  I love office supplies: pens, markers, notebooks, staplers, label makers, scissors…I don’t discriminate 

16.  I can do calligraphy

17.  I value authenticity

18.  I’m a die-hard cat lady (cat stuff will most likely come up in my blogs)

19.  I really appreciate Brené Brown and her work on vulnerability + leadership 

20.  I identify as a “perfectionist in ongoing recovery”
