Choose Your Mission Forward: Acceleration 2022

“I liked coming in thinking that we knew what we thought our problem was...only to come out at the end with a whole new clarity about the real core issues we had not thought of. We need to make some foundational changes first before we can build back stronger.” - Acceleration Participant

One of the reasons we created nonprofit acceleration, part of our Mission Forward suite of cohort experiences, is to give space for teams to, “step out of it, to work on it.” Meaning to take a step back, look up, and make sure that we are working as hard as we can, aligned, and moving in the right direction. The key is that effort and resources are aligned and moving in the right direction.

That’s why I love the quote above from one of our THRIVE cohort #3 participants. This particular team was able to take a step back, breathe, and evaluate what was holding them back. Having the space to do that, they could identify the core issue and start working on that.

Now, the time and effort they are applying to their challenges are helping them move in the right direction; moving their mission forward and making an impact with the community.

Are you interested in nonprofit acceleration? We are getting ready to announce three experiences in the Richmond area for 2022 and have two pending in other parts of the state. Stay tuned for one announcement in early January.

(THRIVE is part of Mission Forward - TSM’s suite of cohort-based learning and engagement programs. THRIVE is a nonprofit accelerator hosted by The Collaboratory of Virginia and designed and facilitated by The Spark Mill.)
