Brian currently serves as a Tax Partner with Dixon Hughes Goodwin (DHG) in the Metro DC area. As managing partner he led the growth of the Metro DC offices from ten to 250 employees. Brian has also served as a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Women Forward Advisory Board. Brian is excited to use his 30 years of diverse experience in public accounting and growing markets to mentor others.
Bret is the campus minister at Wesley at Virginia Tech. Campus Ministry is the space where he lives out his call into ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church. It is a place of craziness and chaos, and it is beautiful to see God’s work in the midst of all of it. Bret is passionate about serving others and living into my strengths (from Strengthsfinder 2.0) of being a Woo, Restorative, Empathy, Harmony, and Includer to enable others to live into who God is calling them to be. ! He values his family, coaching, leadership development, and being in community with others. He and his wife, Erin, and I have 2 girls (Clara - 8 and Lawson - 5) who keep them on their toes and whom they love dearly.
Dan serves as the pastor of Culpeper Baptist Church. He has previously served as pastor in Albemarle and Alexandria. Dan has a passion for seeing legacy churches continue to grow and connect with the surrounding community, while maintaining traditional values and relevant ministries. Dan serves on the Board of Trustees at Averett University as well as the Board of LifeSpire of Virginia.
Katherine Morris leads a team of talented individuals at Performance Signs. With her at the helm, Performance has been recognized for its rapid growth at the state level, for remaining at the forefront of industry and for setting high standards of environmental consciousness. When not branding business and municipality fleets or manfacturing highway signs, she and husband Robbie enjoy traveling adventures with their four children ages 12, 10, 8 and 6.
Somiah Lattimore is an an entrepreneur, internationally recognized educator, and award-winning visual designer. Lattimore currently serves as Director of Experiential Learning for the da Vinci Center for Innovation at Virginia Commonwealth University. Before VCU, Somiah served as a creative consultant and student mentor for Apex Systems Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech. Previous professional positions include Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Salisbury University, Director of FourDesign and Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design for the School of Visual Arts at Virginia Tech, and Creative Director for Carolina Media Publishing.
A four-time software entrepreneur over the past 25 years, Todd currently serves as Chief Evangelist and operating CEO of the New Health Analytic company owned by EnterBridge. In addition to his role with EnterBridge ,Todd has leveraged his startup experience as founder and co-director of Lighthouse Labs, a top performing accelerator in the country. So far, Lighthouse Labs has assisted founders in launching 20 companies over the past 5 years leading to more than $25 million in capital raised and impacting over 60 jobs on less than $1M in operating and investment cost. Todd is dedicated to connecting our region’s brightest founders with experienced mentorship, capital and resources that enable them to succeed.
Mariah is a facilitator and project manager with The Spark Mill, a Richmond-based strategic planning & consulting firm. After spending two years working as a consultant for the federal government at Deloitte Consulting in Washington, DC, she left to pursue her passion for community planning in communities of color. With her rich experience and Master's in Urban Planning from VCU, Mariah brings a wealth of knowledge in qualitative research, community engagement, participatory practices and is passionate about social justice, inclusivity and equity in the city.
Justin currently serves as the Lead Pastor of St. Mark's UMC in the Roanoke district. Prior to coming to St. Mark's, Justin served Pleasant Valley UMC in Chantilly from 2009-17, and has encouraged a focus on outreach and mission. During his tenure, PVUMC purchased a second facility to serve as a community outreach center. The outreach center houses PVUMC's preschool, the Share House clothing ministry, and English as Second Language classes. Prior to answering his call to ministry, Justin worked in government affairs for the agribusiness industry. He received his Masters degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2004, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church Leadership from Wesley in 2012.
Rev. Chris Bennett is a consultant and facilitator with The Spark Mill, a Richmond-based strategic planning & consulting firm. Prior to his role at The Spark Mill, Chris, an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, spent 13 years leading in small, medium and large congregationsin both rural and suburban settings. In 2016, Chris partnered with two other community leaders to create the Ministry Accelerator, a capacity-building pre-accelerator for the Virginia Conference’s Sustaining and Special Grants. The ministry accelerator has graduated 22 local church ministries, been featured in Duke Divinity school’s Faith and Leadership online magazine.
